The Florence County Historical Society is located at 201 Florence Avenue, Florence, Wisconsin 54121.

The Florence County Historical Society was founded in 1980 following the Town of Florence and the County’s Centennial Celebration. This dedicated committee became the founders of the Historical Society. Today these people, along with subsequent members, have been active in educational outreach, research, providing a historical resource for the community, and operating a museum to display the history of Florence county’s eight townships.
